Our Policies

1. Event Policies

   • Events must be accurately represented when undergoing sanctioning
   • Queen’s StuCons must remain at the event until (a) the bar has closed, (b) all alcohol has been cleared, and (c) ideally all guests have left the venue
   • If an event is judged to have been misrepresented when sanctioned and thus unsafe, Queen’s StuCons can shut down the event by calling (a) Campus Security if on-campus, or (b) Kingston Police if off-campus
   • StuCons should not be dismissed from the event earlier than 15 minutes before the scheduled end of the event, unless an alternative agreement has been reached. If an event ends early, StuCons may be dismissed early. However, the event will still be billed from the arrival time until 15 minutes prior to the scheduled end time.
   • StuCons should not stay longer than 1 hour after the scheduled end of the event. If StuCons are required to stay longer, extra overtime fees will apply. Overtime fees will be billed as the full cost of staff ($23 per Supervisor, $21 per Security/StuCon Staff).

2. Booking Policy

   • Events requiring QSC should book us at least 2 weeks in advance of the event to guarantee StuCon presence at the event. Booking requests for events occurring within 2 weeks is subject to staff availability and are not guaranteed StuCon presence.

3. Cancellation Policy

   • StuCons cancelled within 3 days of the event date will be required to pay 50% of the quoted booking price.
   • StuCons cancelled on the day of the event will be billed for 100% of the quoted price.
